How the program works
Daily 30-minute learning, plus a weekly 45-minute tutoring session.
Each week, you complete assigned Pimsleur Spanish audio lessons on your own. Then you meet in person for a focused 45-minute session that helps turn that audio practice into real speaking ability.
Tutoring time is used for live conversation, pronunciation coaching, review, and personalized correction based on your goals.

First-Time Student: $180 - $30 = $150. Receive the first session free; if you continue, the remaining five sessions are $150 total.
Pimsleur Audio: Currently $14.95/month on Pimsleur’s site, purchased separately by the student. Premium is not required for this starter program.

About your tutor
Anthony Klahre.
I’m 34 years old, live in Stephens City, and was born and raised in Winchester, Virginia. I studied at Roca Blanca Language School in Mexico in 2011 and graduated from its 8-month language immersion program. I excelled in grammar and fluency at my time there.
Since then, Spanish has remained a meaningful part of my life. I've done some volunteer translation work, worked in a bilingual capacity in my current career, taught my kids Spanish, and helped in random public situations where a translator was needed.
I’m passionate about language learning because it strengthens communication, builds relationships, opens doors socially and culturally, and helps people think in new ways. It's also great for your brain! Learning a second language builds new neural pathways and strengthens existing gones, which leads to an improvement in cognitive functions like memory, multitasking, and problem-solving.

What is the first-time student offer?
The standard 6-week package is $180. First-time students receive a $30 discount so the first full session is free; if you continue, the remaining five 45-minute sessions are $150 total. This does not include the Pimsleur Subscription of $14.95/mo.
What will I pay in total to start?
First-time students pay $150 for the remaining five tutoring sessions after the free first session. Pimsleur Audio is separate and is currently listed at $14.95/month.
Do I need to know any Spanish before starting?
No. This program is designed for adult beginners and people returning to Spanish after a long break.
Is this a group class?
No. The core program is 1:1 tutoring. Each student has an individual weekly 45-minute time slot.
Why use Pimsleur audio?
The audio gives you a daily structure for listening and speaking practice. Tutoring time is then used for live feedback, correction, personalization, and real conversation. For millenia, people have learned language first by listening then by repeating. When we were toddlers, we all learned our first language before reading, writing, and grammar. Do I need Pimsleur Premium?
No. The audio-only option is enough. Pimsleur’s current public pricing lists Audio Monthly at $14.95/month, Premium at $19.95/month, and All Access at $20.95/month. Students purchase their own subscription directly from Pimsleur and can choose the plan that fits them.
Is this an official Pimsleur program?
No. This is independent tutoring that works alongside student-owned Pimsleur audio practice. Anthony is not affiliated with or endorsed by Pimsleur or Simon & Schuster.
How much time should I practice at home?
Plan for about 30 minutes per assigned audio lesson, six days per week. Consistency is more important than perfection.
What if I miss a day of audio practice?
Do not quit. Repeat or catch up as needed, and come to your session prepared to discuss where you got stuck.
Do you offer virtual tutoring?
This program is designed for in-person tutoring because live pronunciation and speaking practice work best face-to-face. A phone call can be scheduled to discuss the program before enrolling. In the event that someone is unable to travel or due to other circumstances, we can arrange a temporary virtual option through Zoom or Facetime.
Will I be fluent after six weeks?
No honest beginner program can promise fluency in six weeks. The goal is to build a strong habit, improve listening and pronunciation, and begin using practical Spanish with more confidence.
